We are a husband and wife team and work together with a shared belief that we all contain the innate ability to be happy and healthy. The variety of approaches we use compliment one another and provide a number of ways in which to move towards better health and wellbeing.
I am a fully qualified and insured sound therapist and have trained with the British Academy of Sound Therapy. I always aim to develop my sound work skills and continue my research to be able to bring people sound in a variety of therapeutic forms. I have also trained with Sadhana Mala (500 hours yoga training in the Viniyoga tradition), Teen Yoga and Connected Kids to bring yoga and meditation to all ages and abilities.
Working with sound, mindfulness and yoga is my passion. I truly believe that these practices should be accessible to everyone and specialise in working within the complete spectrum of age groups and abilities. As a trained sixth form teacher and with a number of years experience under my belt, I also have a very good understanding of working with young people in education.
It is my aim to bring my experience and knowledge to you and continue bringing these techniques into common therapeutic practice.
I know that from personal practice yoga and somatics provide an accessible method for achieving a healthy body and comfortable state of mind. My understanding of yoga has developed and been very much influenced by my professional practice as a touch therapist. The training I have received has been varied within the field of holistic therapy and includes many approaches to massage, healing and integrated touch. Additionally my yoga teacher training was completed with Sadhana Mala (500 hours) Thai yoga massage training with Cheltenham Yoga and as well as becoming a Somatic Movement Coach with Lisa Petersen.
My fascination with human anatomy and physiology spans my career and I have a strong interest in both mainstream and alternative therapies. I believe this brings a different dimension to my approach of yoga and somatics.
It is always my aim to create classes that both inspire and meet people where they are at. Nurturing students towards their goals whether that is to create greater physical well being or to help calm the mind. I have experience teaching both teenagers and adults with a firm belief that yoga and somatics is for everyone.
Our practice began as personal interest and self exploration and over time and through carefully selected training we have developed a deep understanding of our approaches and teaching methods. The foundation of this understanding and thread that runs through our therapies is that of stillness and vibration. All existence is in a constant state of movement and these frequencies inherent in all things are born from what we call the field or groundswell of life. Our practices seek to work with and engage our clients in a process of enquiry that helps us move towards greater harmony with the universe and ourselves.
